Default ive tried everything ..

i seriously suck at monking in pvp. its easy to monk in AB but whenever i monk in RA or TA especially in korean dist, those BA turret rangers beat the shit out of me interupting guardian , dismiss condition , woh. i cant seem to do anything with them in the way. i need some help against them. kiting doesnt seem to work if their arrows are flying really quickly and you cant kite in every single place. thats the only thing i die to .. BA Turrets. help would be greatly appreciated . thanks

Hide behind walls.

All I can really say about your problem, because I don't know if you have energy problems, hex problems, ect ect....

Disciplined Stance/Shield bash is what alot of monks run in RA... might help.

you can't dodge them because they more than likely have read the wind or possibly favorable winds. usually the BA turrets follow with a ba>hunter's>savage shot sequence or something along those lines so timing is really the only major issue. if you dont have to try not to cast right after hunter's because savage is most likely coming next.
other than that you really didn't specify what was giving you troubles just that the turrets are apparently the only thing giving you trouble.

Try to cast on your fast cast set every time.
Guardian youself(also with fast cast) and if you don't get fast cast you could try to cancel guardian.

Try using the monk elite skill "Spell breaker" or the mesmer skill "Mantra of resolve". Maybe those two skills togther might help you.

Don't do this.

As others said, use walls, cancel skills when you think you're going to be interrupted and make use of your block skills such as disciplined stance and guardian.

Yea cause wasting an elite slot and losing energy everytime you would be interrupted is good...

Well all I can think of is hiding behind walls, or using the fast cast set.

1 word: Stances.

Go Mo/W with Disciplined or even Defensive should you feel that you need it. /W also have another stance that blocks arrow 75% of the time with quick recharge.

If you feel that a ranger is on you, play fast spells such as Patient Spirit to reduce chance of interrupt. Don't throw guardian carelessly. Other than WoH, this is the spell rangers want to interrupt most.

Make good judgment calls. If there is a ranger, you can be sure that you are one of his priority targets.

well activating stances before you cast your spells would mean wasting another 5 energy and i dont have that much energy ><

i'm using this build http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Mo...ned_Stance_WoH . sometimes i swap between shield stance and shield bash. arrows .. does deflect arrows work ? oO i always have a piercing shield with me cause nothing else is a problem to be except rangers .

1 more thing , how do you cancel a skil lfrom activating ? i know how to cancel if the skill takes at least 2 second long but i cant seem to cancel woh from activating after pressing it .

Activating stance is very much a judgment call that you need to make and be careful about. Distance, obstacles, movement. Kiting is difficult now that RTW is so popular.

I'm surprised that you're not having problems with Mesmers as well.

To cancel spells:

1. Use movement key
2. cast cancel hotkey - faster and more reliable, you'll want this against Div and dshot.

Watch your aggro bubble and make sure you aren't close to thiers get out of the way of arrows. You could use deflect arrows. You could also RoF them.

You could also strafe left and right by clicking on the map so they miss.

You probably get d-shot because your timing is bad; you're being too predictable, and you're not quick to determine their primary method of interrupting.

You can tell pretty quickly if the guy is:

- reflex
- predictive
- spam

Your best responses are:

1) stance for WoH: only if you must use it and you're very sure of d-shot
2) use your 40/40 set: for every cast you can manage
3) adjust your timing: so that you aren't as predictable

The five ways to eat a predictive d-shot (that come to mind) are to:

- use multiple skills without delay
- use skills after KD
- use skills on recharge
- use skills when their condition is met
- push up to a target out of range

You can't avoid being predictable, so it's important you know exactly how much time you have to use your skills. In general, it's easier for a ranger to d-shot / savage you than for you to avoid it, and there isn't much you can do to avoid a reflexive d-shot anymore as [Read the Wind] and [Lightning Reflexes] make it easy.

In theory, faking is a great option for avoiding d-shot WoH or Guardian. In practice, tracking d-shot use is quite harder than tracking p-block use, and the largely predictive use of d-shot versus the largely reflexive use of p-block makes it harder to fake out.

[Signet of Rejuvenation]. Typical RA Ranger will try to interrupt anything, so signets are great for faking due to no energy cost. This also serves as energy management.

@MasterSasori how do you cast a cancel hotkey ? mesmer hexes dont last that long thus its not really a problem unless they spike a target then i'd be forced to use guardian or dismiss condition to get rid of hexes. the only mesmers i have a lil problem against are energy leeching mesmers. hide your energy and die and when they res you, change back to your normal set and boom , energy gone again because they've been leeched by mesmers.

@Age its pretty impossible to kite away from arrows now that rangers have RTW

@Sun Fired Blank that seems to be my problem . i do need to learn how to fake otherwise i'm gonna fail really bad at monking. yeah i usually have a +10 armor against piercing damage cause i don't really want to be spamming my stances just to cast spells. i'll try and practice it on RA. thanks for the help

@360 sometimes i forget to cast signet of rejuvenation even tho i place it on the number 1 skill key. i have absolutely no idea why. yeah , sometimes i bring signet of rejuvenation instead of cure hex.

My opinion man is that you sound like you rly know what your doing as a monk, better than 90% of the joke monks in RA.

I dont think anything can be done, maybe fake a bit but other than that, BA turrets are just very strong. They also have limitations though, energy can get a bit tough for them, in RA anyway (spam much in RA? )

But if BA turrets rly are your only problem, then bring [deflect arrows] with a 6 sec recharge spike for the BA and deflect lasting 5 secs with a 10 sec recharge if you work out the timing they should always have a 75% chance to miss. Throw in a guardian when in deflect arrows and your GG.

Get one of your team mates to go over there and do something about them as in tab-space and control and keep pinging them.Get your parties attention.

that wouldn't be such a good idea .. if he rushes in and gets spiked , he'd die if i dont intervene but if i do , i'd be spamming my energy to keep him alive and if they suddenly change targets to me , i'd be trying my best to keep myself alive, i'd become predictable when i'm below 50% hp and they'd most likely to interupt my woh so faking won't really work here ( when i'm in the middle of 3 people attacking me ), i'd rather we move in slowly than to charge in.
